Clara Delorme (b. 1997) is a dancer and choreographer based in Lausanne. In 2017, she completed her training with the Compagnie Junior Le Marchepied. Since then, she has performed for Yasmine Hugonnet, Mark Lorimer, Nicole Seiler, Dalila Belaza, and others. In her projects, she creates monochromatic spaces and the beings that inhabit them. She enjoys using colors one at a time, imagining a universe and a character for each. With every creation, she aims to give space to those aspects of the human experience that do not require much room to shine and be beautiful—such as strangeness, outdated charm, quirkiness, or deep sadness.
In 2020, she won the PREMIO award for her piece Malgrés (green), and in 2022, she was selected for the Swiss Dance Days with L’albâtre (white). With the support of Pro Helvetia, she undertook a research residency at Impulstanz in Vienna from July to August 2021, where she created the new solo Clara Delorme Lifts Her Leg to Make Her Vagina Lip Come Out, accompanied by Guy Cools and Steven Cohen. This solo was presented at Théâtre Sévelin 36 in March 2022. With Baptiste Cazaux, she created Grimaces, a short piece for schoolchildren, and C’est l’enfer! with young people from the L’ELAN adapted learning center. For Le repos (blue), she received the Label+ Romand in 2023 and the Swiss Prize for Choreographic Creation in 2025.
She is also a co-founder of Arts_sainement, an association combating discrimination and abuse in the performing arts, and of LIEU COMMUN, a research residency and meeting place in Lausanne. In 2024/2025, she is in residence at the Swiss Institute in Rome, where she is developing new formats.
